Debi has a decade of experience as an award winning radio presenter; six years spent broadcasting to some of the world's most disaster hit regions, including flood-prone Mozambique. During this time she set up a charitable fund which sent aid to Africa. Prior to this Debi spent some years with West Midlands Police before becoming a successful managing director. As chairperson for a Worcester Retailers Association, she liaised with Hereford and Worcester County Council and the media on issues such as traffic management. An associate of the Emergency Planning Society and a trained first aider, in 2011 Debi achieved a First Class Honours degree in Social Science. In her spare time Debi is studying for a Masters degree in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. She attributes her experience with survival equipment and emergency gear to years spent trekking in adverse conditions with a 2 stone rucksack on her back for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme! |
