 Globehuggers Emergency Supplies has beaten thousands of businesses in the UK to be named as a semi finalist in the HSBC Start Up Stars Awards. HSBC have named us on their website as one of the top 60 businesses in the country! From thousands of entries the judges whittle it down to 60 semi finalists and then down to just 25 who have to go to the dragon's lair in London and face the music...
 Why have we got this far? Sheer dogged determination of course and thanks to our blue-chip clients. The journey began just two years ago when business partners Debi and David Massey decided to leave their careers in radio to start a green website called Globehuggers.com which specialises in battery free products. It wasn’t long before they were approached by heads of security interested in radios and torches that weren’t reliant on batteries in an emergency. From here Globehuggers Emergency Supplies was born and is now one of the fastest growing businesses in this niche market. Wanna Meet the judges? We may have to! Our range of grab bags, flood kits and emergency products are used across the UK and our blue chip clients include Westfield UK, Sony UK, The British Red Cross, Land Securities and Vita Lendlease. Everyone in the office is now eagerly waiting to see if we will make it to the finals in October and go before a panel of Dragons! Good job we’ve got burns kits at the ready for when they start breathing fire! |
