Description
The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) is delighted to announce that Bob Geldof KBE will address the opening plenary session of the BCM World Conference and Exhibition in November. Delegates, representing organisations from across the world, will be able to benefit from his experiences of the developing world in relation to the impact of climate change and the condition and availability of critical infrastructure in these countries.
The session, which will be sponsored by Groupcall, a business where Geldof is a co-founder, will encourage delegates to think about how Business Continuity Management (BCM) can support the development of resilient infrastructures for the supply of food, water, energy, transport and financial services in developing countries affected by climate change. The BCM World Conference and Exhibition is the annual showcase for the Business Continuity Management industry and has already gained the support of authoritative speakers such as Sheana Tambourgi, a director at the World Economic Forum and Mike Bowron, Commissioner of the City of London Police and ACPO’s business continuity champion for the police force in England and Wales. The conference will debate the major issues and opportunities facing the industry including global standards, pandemic planning, global supply chain management, global risk management and corporate governance.
